10. Oxfordshire, England, rounds out the top ten best places to live in the UK. The study by uSwitch evaluated 138 regions in the UK according to income, life expectancy, sunshine hours, energy bills, working hours and more.


9. Berkshire - also known as the Royal County of Berkshire - is number nine.


8. Northumberland is the most northerly region in the top ten. It had the lowest reported crime rate in the study.

Where the internet zooms.

Good ole Al Gore may have invented the internet, but the country where he served as Vice President under Bill Clinton for 8 years is far from the fastest.  According to IT consulting firm Akamai, these are the best countries to plug in if you feel the need for speed.


No. 10: Finland

Last year's megabytes per second (Mbps) speed averaged 7.1 Mbps, up 20% from a year ago. In the first quarter of 2013, average speeds for broadband internet connections were 7.7 Mbps, according to Akamai.

Why Borussia Dortmund installed ‘disco balls’ at stadium

It's hard to find fault with Borussia Dortmund. The German giants always seem to do just about everything the "right" way.
But they do have at least one problem (other than Bayern Munich taking their players): an overwhelming amount of pigeon poop.
Many have hailed the matchday experience at the Westfalenstadion as one of the best in the world, but it has quite literally turned into a crappy one with the influx of pigeons doing their business all over the stadium.
